Geological Mapping with Scientific Computer Applications Contour Maps Software

Geological Mapping Software Mapping-Contouring System (MCS) by Scientific Computer Applications can contour up to 125 surfaces simultaneously, making a number of structural contour maps and isopachs at the same time. MCS first makes a series of isochore contour maps and interpolates or extrapolates these contour maps as necessary to cover the map area of the petroleum reservoir. Then these isopachs are used to reconstruct missing values downward and upward in the stack so that at the end of the processing procedure there is a complete set of structure and isochore maps on all surfaces. MCS makes rigorous cross sections through actual or arbitrary points. These cross sections are consistent with structure and isopach contour maps of the petroleum reservoir.
